Terroir, grape varieties, and a historic decision

Set on the Pomerol plateau, Lafleur stands out for having the highest proportion of Cabernet Franc in the entire region. In pursuit of complete freedom in vineyard practices to better respond to climate change, Lafleur made the decision to step outside the traditional AOC Pomerol classification, redefining this legendary wine under the Vin de France label. Proving that the estate remains steadfast in placing purity, depth, and terroir above any formal framework.

A deep ruby color reveals layers of black cherry, ripe plum, cassis, and wild strawberry, intertwined with violet, orange peel, and warm herbs over a fine mineral base. An elegant structure with ripe black fruit and delicate spices leads to a long, fresh, mineral-driven finish.
