With over a decade of dedication to the wine industry, Huy Nguyễn is not only an outstanding sommelier but also a trailblazer in elevating Vietnam’s wine culture. He is currently the Business Development Manager & Sommelier at Red Apron Fine Wines & Spirits and a co-founder of the Saigon Sommelier Association. As a Certified Sommelier (CMS) and WSET Level 4 Diploma In Wines holder, he has built a solid foundation of expertise and an extensive professional network within the industry.

With his deep experience, Huy Nguyễn has trained and inspired generations of wine enthusiasts, helping to bring Vietnam’s wine appreciation standards closer to global benchmarks. He has led and organized numerous specialized training programs for retail and HORECA channels, hosted refined wine and food pairing experiences, managed high-profile wine events, and overseen wine retail operations. In 2017, he was honored as Vietnam’s Best Sommelier in French Wine in a competition organized by Sopexa, and most recently, he secured the First Runner-up position at the Ambassadeur du Monde du Vin 2024. Beyond competitions, he has also served as an instructor for the Wine of Portugal-Vietnam (2018) and Wine of Oregon & Washington State (2020) programs and participated in the Wine Management Program at Weingut von Winning, Germany (2022).
