Australia | Victoria | De Bortoli
Grape Varieties:
Chardonnay
Tasting Notes:
A highly attractive though understated nose, with fresh dough, lemon curd and a little spice. The palate is rather fabulous with restraint, texture and lemony juiciness. There is a beautiful core of integrated acidity, which channels and defines the wine.
Food Pairings:
White Meat & Fish in Butter/Creamy Sauce | Pasta | Tonkotsu Ramen | Tom Kha Gai
De Bortoli Wines was established by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli in 1928 after their purchase of a 55-acre mixed fruit farm. They received tremendous support from local growers and immigrants, allowing De Bortoli to establish itself as one of the most reputed wine estates of modern Australia. Their winemaking motto is Semper ad Majora, which means “always striving for better”.
