To make this special sparkling rose wine, Bottega used Manzoni
Moscato, or Incrocio Manzoni 13.0.25, one of the grape varieties that were
developed to replace or complement the traditional ones. The Manzoni Moscato is
a crossing of Raboso Piave and Muscat of Hamburg to produce wines that were
both very tannic and acidic.
With the name Petalo, means petals in Italian, and the rose picture on the label, Bottega creates Petalo Manzoni Moscato Rose as a symbol of love. As its name, the wine has a delicate rosé color with fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is intense, delicate and refined, characterized by an aroma of roses and fruity notes of cherry, raspberry, ripe citrus fruits and final spicy notes of sage. On the palate, it’s sweet, elegant, harmonic, balanced, with long aromatic persistence, but also fresh thanks to its acidity and tannins which balance the high sugar content. This is the perfect choice for this season of Love.
