Raspberry colored. Powerful on the nose, yet very refined and invitingNoticeable black currant at first, with quite a bit of pencil lead and oaky tannins. mellows out an hour later, into a beautifully smooth wine decorated with black cherry, rose and the darkest of dark chocolate.

BRAND NAME: Alvaro Palacios
This winery is located in the Rioja Baja and the technical director, Álvaros Palacios, is one of Spain’s most important and influential producers. He spent 2 years at Château Pétrus before setting up on his own in Priorat in 1989. From the forgotten vineyards of Priorat, he added the now iconic L’Ermita wine, known as one of the finest wines of Spain.
