This is a ripe Mencía with mild prune, raisin, fig and baked berry aromas. The palate is intense and shows major-league grip. Flavors of earthy, baked black fruits, wild herbs, dried black plum and chocolate finish long, toasty, spicy and serious.

This winery is located in the Rioja Baja and the technical director, Álvaros Palacios, is one of Spain’s most important and influential producers. He spent 2 years at Château Pétrus before setting up on his own in Priorat in 1989. From the forgotten vineyards of Priorat, he added the now iconic L’Ermita wine, known as one of the finest wines of Spain.
