TASTING NOTES: A beautiful crimson color with a deep purple rim. Both intense and complex, the nose displays fresh fruit aromas (black currant and black cherry) and elegant oak nuances, as well as hints of menthol and liquorice with aeration. The wine starts out round and straightforward and follows with rich, concentrated and velvety tannic texture along with beautiful acidity that provides balance and freshness.

BRAND NAME: Edmond de Rothschild Heritage

Baron Edmond was determined to have his own wine enterprise so, in 1973, he acquired Chateau Clarke, Cru Bourgeois Superieur, an 18th century property that had gone fallow. With a long-term vision, he cleared the fields, built new facilities, redesigned and replanted the entire vineyard, naming the new organization, Compagnie Vinicole Baron Edmond de Rothschild.
It now includes 150 hectares and is one of the largest vineyards in the Medoc. Their more recent ventures include stunning properties in top terroirs of the New World, such as Flechas de los Andes in Mendoza or Rimapere in Marlborough.
