GRAPES VARITETIES: 78% Sauvignon Blanc and 22% Sémillon
TASTING NOTES: Aromatic open and inviting, notes of juicy pink grapefruit giving way to a savoury salty note. There is an attractive and perfumed ripeness here that many whites in 2024 lack, alongside an excellent crispy, crunch that firms the wine up nicely. Fresh and with a great core of complex fruit. A blend of 78% Sauvignon Blanc picked from the 5th to the 11th September, and 22% Semillon picked on 5th September. Aged in a mixture of steel tank and oak barrels.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Grilled Fish | Seafood | Roast White Meat | Sushi | Cha Ca | Pho Cuon
BRAND NAME: Chateau Grand Village
Convinced by the great potential of some of their soils at Grand Village to yield white wines, they decided to replant a number of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon parcels in the early 1990s. They started planting new parcels with vines originating from the great Sauvignon Blanc vineyards of Sancerre – rich, complex and mineral. Important evolutions to the white winemaking techniques followed. Great progress was made in the cellar with the refinement od our work methods, mastering oxygen intake and barrel aging o the fine lees.
