TASTING NOTES: The colour is a beautiful, dark purple. The first nose is very aromatic, fine, compact and fruity. On swirling, fruitiness is predominant, pure, fresh and delicate. The first taste is rich and delicious. The sensations of powerfulness and delicacy merge and rouse interest. Then the wine develops, full and continuous. It gives a sensation of pleasure. The wine stretches out on the finish, leaving a lovely feeling and a sense of thickness.

BRAND NAME: Haut Brion

The history of Château Haut Brion, the oldest of Bordeaux’s Grands Crus, lasted five centuries. Its name refers to the Gascon toponym “Haut Brion” which designates a gravelly terrace. In 1855, Haut Brion rose to the rank of Premier Cru Classé. In 1935, Château Haut Brion was acquired by the American banker Clarence Dillon who modernized the property. Since then, the property is still part of the same family.
