      TASTING NOTES: It reveals an inky purple hue as well as a stunning bouquet of pure cassis, liquid black raspberries, truffle, scorched earth, and graphite. Full-bodied, concentrated, and massive on the palate, it may be the largest-scaled Pavie Macquin ever produced. But don't let that scare you off – it stays flawlessly balanced, has pure, fine-grained tannins, and a great finish.

      Chateau Pavie Macquin, a St Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé, is a property that has hit form in the last 10 years and is now producing top-tier wines. Chateau Pavie Macquin has 15 hectares of vineyards located on the Côte Pavie, adjacent to the vineyards of Pavie, Pavie-Decesse and Troplong-Mondot. Since 1990 Nicolas Thienpont, of Vieux Château Certan fame, has been in charge of the property.
