GRAPES VARITETIES: Sauvignon Blanc
TASTING NOTES: On the nose, it reveals intense notes of grapefruit zest, gunflint, fresh herbs, and white peach. The palate is mineral-driven and tightly coiled, with layers of citrus oil, green plum, and a persistent, chalky finish. Pure, focused, and commanding - this is Sauvignon in its most crystalline, terroir-reflective form.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Grilled Fish | Seafood | Roast White Meat | Sushi | Cha Ca | Pho Cuon
BRAND NAME: Domaine Didier Dagueneau
Domaine Didier Dagueneau is one of France’s great, iconic estates, making singluar, age-worthy Sauvignon Blancs from the appellation of Pouilly-Fumé. Didier Dagueneau, founder of this domaine, was one of the first in the region to experiment with single-parcel wines. Like any great winemaker, Didier knew that the path to transcendence began with fastidious and painstaking work in the vineyards. To this day, vines are farmed meticulously, with an average of one full time worker per hectare, which is unheard of except at top domaines like Leroy.
