In 1960, Patrice Michon decided to put down his roots in Brem-sur-Mer, a haven in Vendée, where he farmed a few hectares of vines inherited from his father. In the 1980s, his two sons Eric and Thierry contributed to a major turning point for the estate. Together, they relocated their winery to Île d'Olonne, convinced of the potential of the Olonnes terroir. They invested in the acquisition of new plots, initiating a wine journey that continues to this day. In 2013, the passion for vines and wine was passed on to the third generation of the Michon family when Antoine, son of Thierry, joined the Saint-Nicolas estate. The common thread of the estate since its beginnings has always been the production of healthy wines. In 1995, the estate converted to biodynamics.
