BRAND NAME: Francis Ford Coppola Winery

Founded by the eponymous filmmaker, the Francis Ford Coppola Winery is a wine producer in Sonoma County. With two wineries located in Geyserville, California, Coppola creates vino that celebrates the director’s film and family history. Francis Ford Coppola is considered one of the major figures of the New Hollywood filmmaking movement of the 1960s and 1970s, famous for directing The Godfather trilogy. For Coppola, winemaking is a family legacy, with his grandfather and uncle making homemade wine in the basement of his family’s apartment. Coppola began his wine career in 1975 when he purchased the Gustave Niebaum vineyard on the historical Inglenook estate in Napa Valley. In 2018, he acquired the Domaine de Broglie in Oregon, and since then, the brand has become a household staple for many Americans.
