Arkea Ultim Challenge - Brest with a starting point from the city of Brest, France on Sunday, January 7 will be an individual race around the world on the world's largest giant Ultim sailboats. With a journey spanning five continents, the race is expected to take about 40 to 50 days to find the final winner. There are many different types of round-the-world sailing adventure challenges - both individual and team - but the Arkea Ultim Challenge - Brest promises to raise the standard of racing in this category.

There will be six “Sea Giants” departing from Brest, with a single captain on board, who will attempt to complete a circumnavigation of the world from West to East, via 3 capes (Good Hope, Leeuwin and Horn). A human and technological challenge undertaken by the sailors of the Ultim 32/23 Class together with their shipowners and partners.

Alone, on giant multihull ships, for 40 to 50 days, the helmsmen will have to experience extreme changes in the weather and will have to face wind, waves, surges and ice.
