TASTING NOTES: The Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d'Alba graces the glass with a translucent garnet color, characteristic of Nebbiolo wines. Its medium intensity suggests youthfulness and promises complexity. On the nose, this wine reveals enticing aromas of red cherries, roses, and violets. There's a delicate interplay between floral notes and red fruit, creating an alluring bouquet. Hints of tar and earthy undertones add depth, reflecting the varietal's classic profile. The palate is marked by vibrant acidity and grippy tannins, which are hallmarks of Nebbiolo. Red fruit flavors dominate, with ripe strawberries and cranberries dancing alongside a touch of dried herbs. The wine's structure is balanced, with a firm backbone that promises aging potential. The finish is medium to long, with the wine's acidity and tannins persisting on the palate. As the flavors linger, a touch of balsamic and hints of spice add complexity, inviting another sip

BRAND NAME: Bruno Giacosa
Bruno Giacosa is a famous wine producer based in Piedmont, Italy. It is particularly known for its intensely perfumed, textured wines from the Barolo and Barbaresco appellations, made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. Giacosa himself famously began in the wine trade buying grapes for his father's wines at the age of 15. By 1960, he was ready to begin his own business and soon became one of Barbaresco's principal producers, along with Gaja and the Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative. In 1964, Giacosa was the first producer in Piemonte to bottle a single vineyard "cru" from the Santo Stefano vineyard.
