TASTING NOTES: Château Camensac, Haut-Médoc 5th Grand Cru Classé, presents itself with a deep garnet color that reflects its maturity and depth. The hue is inviting and hints at the wine's potential complexity. On the nose, a bouquet of ripe blackberries, cassis, and red cherries intertwines with subtle hints of cedar, tobacco, and a touch of earthiness. These aromas create a sense of depth and sophistication, drawing you into the wine's essence. The palate offers a harmonious balance between the wine's fruit-driven core and its structural elements. Juicy black fruit flavors dominate, accompanied by a touch of plum and dark chocolate. The integrated tannins provide a sturdy foundation while allowing the wine's flavors to shine. A thread of herbal notes and a hint of graphite add layers of complexity, contributing to its overall character. Château Camensac's finish is enduring and persistent. The wine's fruit flavors linger gracefully, intertwined with a touch of spice and a lingering mineral note. This finale showcases the wine's aging potential and leaves a lasting impression.

It’s been centuries since the vine appeared in the history of Camensac, around a house whose origin goes back to the XVIIIth century. Since then, only four families have succeeded to the management of the vintage. The current owners, Jean Merlaut and Céline Villars-Foubet bought the property in 2005 with the aim of giving it back its nobility thanks to numerous technical investments. The estate also produces other wines than Château de Camensac : Second de Camensac, Le Bailly de Camensac & La Closerie de Camensac. These wines represent an invitation to discover the incredible terroir and style of Château de Camensac.
