TASTING NOTES: It has a superb bouquet of vibrant black cherries, blueberry and violet scents on the nose – one that could only come from this appellation. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent but firm tannins, a crisp line of acidity and beautifully integrated oak. This is very cohesive and offers impressive salinity on the finish

BRAND NAME: Château Siran

In 1855, Chateau Siran belonged to the Toulouse-Lautrec family, famous political opponents to Napoleon III. Therefore, when he came up with the idea of a Bordeaux classification, they refused to send samples down. As a result, they were never rated as a Grand Cru Classé, although their direct neighbours were all classified and have since then exchanged some land with them. What might appear to be a small detail in History, provides wine lovers with incredible value today... Since 1857, the Miailhe family has been crafting the purest expression of Margaux on this fantastic terroir.
S de Siran, is considered to be the cadet of Château Siran. Coming from the same gravel plateau as Château Siran, S is the result of a rigorous selection of younger vines. Vinified in the same way, it is distinguished by a predominantly Merlot blend that gives it immediate charm.
