Domaine de Chevalier is one of the few Graves estates to produce both first class reds and whites (ranked among the Crus Classes for red and white wine in the Classification of Graves of 1953 and 1959). The property was purchased by the Ricard family in 1865 and remained in their hands until it was bought by the Bernard family in 1983. Olivier Bernard has managed the property since 1983, with the assistance of Professors Pascal Ribereau-Gayon and Denis Dubourdieu.
