Intense aroma of cloves, rosemary, cinnamon and bark with some dark fruit as well. The body of the fernet is average and in addition to the aroma notes of mint and licorice comes through as well. Sweetness is there, but quickly overwhelmed by the bracing bitter bite from tansy,cassia, angelica root, wormwood... Not one for beginners, but beloved by those looking for their bitter fix.
