Product description

GRAPES VARITETIES:

75% Tinta Fino, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec, Merlot and the white grape variety, Albarino.

TASTING NOTES: It has superb intensity on the nose with baked black cherries, leather, apricot blossom, eau-de-vie and liquorice. It is vivacious and floral, unfolding with each sip. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, vivacious almost port-like fruit intensity. It is initially a little pinched on the finish, but it expands gloriously with sage, bay leaf and a touch of bitter orange.

FOOD PAIRINGS: Pizza | Pasta | Red Meat | Cold Cuts | Bo Sot Vang | Bun Bo Nam Bo

BRAND NAME: Vega Sicilia

Vega Sicilia became a part of the Álvarez family's life in 1982. With a constant and steady growth, Vega Sicila is the most historical and prestigious winery from Spain today. This winery is known for its rich, complex reds made primarily from the grape Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). Yields are kept low, aided by green harvesting and painstaking grape selection. Winery operations are just as meticulous, with a complicated series of rackings from large barrels to barriques, mixing old and new oak and leading to wines that are capable of long aging.
