GRAPE VARIETIES: 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
TASTING NOTES: Vieux Château Certan 2002 proves today to be very much a classic vintage, offering a rich and subtle range of aromas. Its smoothness and body on the palate are reminiscent of the excellent 1996. This is a great wine for cellaring and the first bottles can be opened in 8 to 10 years time. The others can be kept for another 20 years or more in a good cellar.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Red Meat | BBQ | Cold Cuts | Pizza | Pasta | Bun Bo Nam Bo | Peking Duck
